THREE GHANAIAN PUBLIC SCHOOL GIRLS HAVE GONE VIRAL ON BREAKING STEREOTYPES ASSOCIATED WITH “SAITO” STUDENTS

Three Ghanaian public school girls namely; Korkor Yvonne and Elorm from Dodowa Newton Basic School, on 29th December, 2025, had gone viral on their potentiality to break the “tag” labeled against public schools popularly known as SAITO, regarding their incapability to express themselves in English Language. The SAITO POD INITIATIVE as titled by them is basically to bring to the world real conversations, real vibes and real stories that SAITO students can also portray and exhibit.

In recent times, pupils of government public schools, have been stereotyped and standardized  as unintelligent, empty-headed, dumb and dull-witted,  as a result of ‘most them’ being unable to express themselves grammatically. This gratuitous act of discrimination from the private school students mostly, led some of the SAITO students to refuse contributions in class lessons and even when they meet as students during athletic activities organized, they have the intention of not to contribute in any discussions.

Today, this POD INITIATIVE formulated by these young girls to sharply deliver a storytelling in Grammar effortlessly, is changing the narrative. As their confidence to launch the ‘CytoPod’, has drew international attention, media attention, Accra Regional Minister and has even caused the public in cheerfulness and contentment to encourage them to keep promoting SAITO public schools to a level of a remarkable stance.

Additionally, the public encouraged that, other students who are also privileged to have extra-classes at homes to build their English Grammar, should do well to impart their knowledge, eloquence, fluency and communication skills on their fellow students. Than to ridicule and mock them, which in the long-term, lowers these students self-confidence and self-esteem entirely.
