The Ghanaian Businessman – Ibrahim Mahama as at yesterday in United State of America, promised black stars of a special bonus he has prepared for them if they put in more efforts to defeat Croatia tomorrow. The philanthropist made this special pledge for the team, Coach and their supervisors, as a result of the consistent effort seen among the black stars to win against Panama 1-0 and to also earn 1 point after going goalless draw against England on 17th June, 2026 and 23rd June, 2026 respectively.
From the business tycoon, black stars attitude, determination, actions, and skills that was seen on the field against their opponents really impressed him to have decided in giving out special bonuses to each of these team members to get them motivated and to also continue putting in the necessary efforts to win against their subsequent opponents.
He mentioned that in 2010, himself and Prez Mahama went to South Africa to watch that very day 2010 FIFA World Cup as well; but unfortunately, they got robbed at the scene in South Africa. Since then, he lost interest in football games and didn’t even wanted to further watch games that have to do with football. However, his son who usually follows football games keenly, recently encouraged him to give a second chance into watching football games; making him to once more have interest in this current ongoing tournament and to give in the necessary support to these current black stars team members, after their tremendous performances on the field.
He also addressed that he thought coming to the USA to witness the match was for him to only see players. Not knowing there are technical teams rendering support to these black stars behind the scenes, to make the boys shine and also elevate the country’s global prominence. According to him, this such team works and efforts, are making him to once again be really impressed with the job been done by the entire team members. As such, the special bonuses he intends to give out, will also be received adequately and equally by all members.
In his speech, he also reminisced Jordan Ayew’s childhood events where he was usually seen in his (Ibrahim) mother’s house always playing football and today, he, Ibrahim Mahama is proud to have seen him thrive through consistency and efforts into becoming the black stars captain and he believes that going forward, Jordan Ayew will used his experiences and skills to also mentor other young men who are into football to also achieve their heart desires in football games.
In conclusion, the philanthropist added that he will be following the black stars journey in this tournament and will ensure he invest in them including the technical teams. So that the opportunity will be utilized by others to find many more Ghanaians who have untold stories; and for necessary support to also be rendered unto those people as well.
He then appreciated the Coach for also coming in within this short period to put the boys together to have this amazing performance so far. “Apart from the government bonus, I, Ibrahim Mahama also have a special and much better bonuses for you, so please do us proud and put in your best in this tournament, he encouraged”.
