Ghana Black Star goalkeeper – Lawrence Ati Zigi has officially tied the knot with his longtime partner – Perihan Kirli in a beautiful and an intimate ceremony held in Kuşadası – Turkey. The wedding which occurred on 23rd April, 2026 in a scenic coastal town along the Aegean Sea, known for its breathtaking views and serene atmosphere, was a private affair that had in attendance selected group of invited guests and family members.

During the low-key ceremony, couple exchanged vows in the serene waterfront setting to reflect their preference despite Ati-Zigi being a great and famous international footballer. Photos and clips have since surfaced online; capturing the heartfelt and joyful moments from their celebration.

Although the ceremony from local reports indicated that it was euphoric and blissful, fans and well-wishers have since flooded social media with congratulation messages and others also informing Lawrence to ensure to keep his marriage till death do them apart. In order to prevent him from having legal issues with his wife on his acquired properties; citing cases of other footballers who experienced same like – “Hakimi”, “Partey” and many others.

The 29-year old Ati-Zigi, who currently plays for FC St. Gallen is known to have established himself as one of the most consistent and Ghana’s top goalkeepers in Swiss Super League since 2020, after joining the club. He has made over 200 appearances for the club across all competitions earning him recognition for his reflexes, command of the box (the net) and composure under pressure.

On the international stage, he had remained a key figure for the Ghana National Team with nearly 30 caps to his name; and had represented the country at major tournaments including the 2022 FIFA World Cup and other multiple Africa Cup of Nations tournaments.

As a result, his marriage marks a significant milestone as a “shot stopper” and a new-chapter in his life; to have kept it so private and out of the spotlight to build a solid reputation both on and off the pitch throughout his career as a Ghanaian footballer.
