Three Swedru School of Business (SWEBUS) students namely: Joseph Amoh (20years), Benedict Appiah (18years) and Bilal Mamud (18years) have been arrested by the Ghana Police Service following the viral video of them assaulting Akpaka Kobby Fiagegbe (the obrachire SHS student). The arrest which took place on 23rd February, 2026 at exactly 9:00pm, was due to SWEBUS Authorities handling them over to the police.
The school authorities were able to hand over these students to the police because the Director General of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) – COP Lydia Yaako Donkor visited the school and had an engagement with the Headmaster and some teachers; where she instructed them to release the perpetrators only within 24 hours, for them to face the full rigors of the law.
Many Ghanaians believes that the CID’s engagement between the School authorities caused the swift arrest of these students. Therefore, they applauded her for a good work done.

Apart from this, six (6) Aggrey Memorial SHS students have also been arrested on 24th February, 2026 upon assaulting and robbing a final-year Adisadel College student, after the inter school sports festival in cape coast.
Indeed, stringent measures need to be swiftly enforced at all the second cycle institutions (Senior High Schools), to prevent recurrence and subsequent loss of lives of these teenagers.
