KNUST BANS FIVE DISMISSED STUDENTS FROM CAMPUS

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) officially declared five former students as “persona non grata,” meaning they are permanently banned from entering the University campus or its premises. It is believed that these students namely – Bernard Boadi, Francis Tutu Atuahene, John Kelvin Kane, Roland Botwe Nsiah, and Felix Acquah were dismissed from the school since 2025 because they were found guilty of misconduct.

In a statement from the University, these individuals mentioned, were usually seen in the school causing troubles including being unserious about their academics, fighting lecturers, students, engaging in social vices and also involving themselves in all sort of recalcitrant attitudes at the school’s premises.

Despite the dismissal, KNUST informed that these groups of individuals have continually decided to return to campus and further engage in the same activities that disrupt academics and administrative works. Management revealed that Francis Tutu Atuahene for instance, has been moving across different halls on the campus premises to only cause confusion and troubles with other students. As a result, the University declared their presence as a serious threat to the safety of other learners and staff of the school.

Therefore, KNUST publicly announced a directive with their photos attached that anyone who may see these aforementioned individuals on campus should not hesitate to immediately report them to the campus security or nearby police station. As the school’s authorities will also ensure to treat them as trespassers and arrested them, to enable other learners and staff have peace or sanity to continue learning or working, respectively.

However, the University cautioned that any student or group that will also been seen associating with them on campus would face same disciplinary actions. According to the university, this directive or move is a step aimed to protect the safety of staff and learners and to also bring orderliness in the school’s premises.
